Welcome to the website of the Barton Law Firm, P.A., a law firm focusing on bankruptcy and bankruptcy related areas of the law. The Firm is located in the historic home pictured to the right, in downtown Columbia, South Carolina. The primary location of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of South Carolina is also in Columbia, South Carolina. In addition to Columbia, court is held in Spartanburg and Charleston, South Carolina a few days out of each month. The Firm’s practice is statewide and extends nationwide, as needed.

Barbara Barton has been certified by The Supreme Court of South Carolina as a specialist in Bankruptcy and Debtor-Creditor law since 1993. She has also been certified as a specialist in business bankruptcy law by the American Bankruptcy Institute since 1996. She is one of three attorneys in South Carolina who has been inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy.
